  Simply put, Sue is great. Other reviewers have remarked on her experience and expertise, so I won't repeat that here. What I will comment on is that Sue finds multiple ways to teach the knowledge and skills required to get that coveted pilot license. She gets to know you, the student, in a way that allows her to connect the dots between a skill or technique you're not familiar with and one you are familiar with. In my particular case, she drew frequent analogies to skiing - for example, staying ahead of the aircraft in a similar way to how I anticipate turns on a mogul field.
  
  The ability to convey information and impart skills in different ways unique to the individual student makes an instructor really stand out. Everyone I met on my journey to the proud holder of a private pilot license knew and greatly respected Sue. That speaks volumes.

  Starting from zero experience, I got my private pilot license step by step following Sue's instruction. The training materials are very useful. Sue adapted to my schedule and learning speed very well. We visited quite a few airports during my training which made the process more fun and practical. Overall I felt very well prepared before the checkride and got my PPL smoothly. Sue is a great instructor. Highly recommended!

  I recently completed my PPL training with Sue. I struggled to find an instructor with the skills I wanted and the flexibility to meet my schedule, but eventually I found Sue and couldn't be happier.
  
  Sue's knowledge and experience were immediately obvious from the first lesson. I knew I was learning from someone who wanted to be teaching, not just looking to build hours for the airlines. Her focus on safety and proper planning combined with structured lessons gave me the all the confidence I needed for my checkride (but not too much confidence!)
  
  I highly recommend Sue as a CFI and look forward to working with her for my future endorsements and ratings.

  Sue has been a fantastic instructor working with me for the better part of two years. Her knowledge and skills are impressive and she is able to impart them effectively as well. The training made me a better and safer pilot and I would highly recommend Sue to anyone looking to fly.

  One of the best flight instructors that you might find. Not only that she will help you accomplish your dream but you will be disciplined, organized and able to fly safely after getting through her school. I got my private pilot license a few years ago and needless to say how happy I am after being able to get where I really wanted and how many wonderful things I was able to learn while training with Sue. Try it out and you will not regret the choice.

Last week I met Sue at the Palo Alto Awards Banquet and what a dynamic woman she is! Such a fun night was had by all. And I'm thankful I had the opportunity to meet her (and her students) and the rest of the 99 group.
