I can't say enough good things about the team at Competitive Edge. The entire team is so nice. I had the opportunity to work with both Kevin and Matt. I will say that I'm partial to Matt, only because I got to work with him more. Our one-on-one sessions were always helpful and positive. Both Matt and Kevin gave great exercises that actually work. They're are very easy to talk too, and they listen to you. They work with the shape that you're in, and I never felt judged because I am not an athlete. I wish I could go to them weekly, which is not feasible for me at the present moment. But if I could, I would be there on a weekly basis, in a heartbeat.

In 2015 I started researching the web to see who the best physical therapist was in the area. I studied sports science at University and out of all of the physical therapists in the area, Competitive Edge seemed to be using the most modern technology and most cutting edge methods. I was not disappointed and quickly found Kevin Vandi to be the most detailed, methodical physical therapist I have ever worked with. I am an MLS Academy coach for the San Jose Earthquakes and Competitive Edge have consistently helped me stay strong and cure any injuries that have occurred for me personally over the last 3 years. Kevin and his team then started working their magic on many of my players who needed more accurate and quicker assessments to get back to their best for important games and showcases. Not only did Kevin help players get back onto the field quicker, he also helped players come back stronger. If you have any doubts about an injury or potential weakness athletically then Kevin is without a doubt the expert in the Bay Area.

Kevin and team are amazing. They gave me more confidence in my stride, and helped me bridge the gap between running form and strength and conditioning exercises. Having a more efficient, risk-free running form is integral as I build up from marathons to ultras, and I cannot thank them enough for their truly whole-hearted support during the few months that they worked with me. Not only are all of them extremely knowledgeable, but they are also very down-to-earth and invested in each of their clients' success, no matter what their goal. The series of running gait analysis and therapy sessions was well worth it (despite being a new college grad with minimal means!), as I know the improvement in my form will help lessen the chance of future injuries, which though inevitable, I hope will be fewer and far between! Many many thanks to this team of genuine all-stars!!!

Competitive Edge is a great rehab and sports performance practice. Quick backdrop- I am a physical therapist by profession as well. I came off of a long flight, and my low back was in a very stiff and painful state. I was treated by Paul, who was able to quickly evaluate and treat my low back. By the end of my first visit, my low back pain was significantly improved, and the pain has gone away after I did some specific stretches that Paul reviewed with me. What's great about this place is that you are fully 1:1 with your PT, and the technology they use is cutting edge, which gives you data and information about the way you move, that you would not be able to acquire at your typical hospital-owned system or "mill" type of PT practice. I am a 60 year-old life-long runner who developed a degenerative meniscus tear training for my 11th marathon a year ago. After surgery and a short break for basic recovery, Matt and the AWESOME team at Competitive EDGE did a thorough evaluation of my running gait, developed a treatment plan for me, and got me back on the road again, pain-free and confident that with continued practice on my strength program I will continue enjoying running for a long time to come. They gave me my running life back, and that is PRICELESS.

The technology Competitive Edge uses is incomparable - it's simply the best at pinpointing problems and clarifying what corrective measures need to be taken to develop strength, improve form, and ensure injury-free performance. I received and email update after each PT session documenting my exercise routine, which was helpful for (forgetful) me.
