Been going there for yrs (the whole family has). The doctor is very through and the staff is never pushy. They will help you pick frames if ask or let you browe on you own.

Dr. Dear at In Focus was the best optometrist I've had in my 56 years. I moved away from downtown SJ 14 years ago and have never found anyone remotely in his caliber, and not for lack of trying. I finally gave up, and decided to just fly back to SJ from NYC to my eye exams and contact / glasses fittings, and it's so worth it to have glasses and contacts that are both excellent.
What I'm saying is that Dr. Dear and In Focus is worth traveling 2500 miles for. Literally.
