A gem of a museum in San Jose. Great place for kids from 1-12. They always have arts and crafts to do as well as changing exhibits and frequently host cultural festivals from all cultures (Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.).
I recommend getting the 2nd tier family membership - as it’s a great way to support the museum and it’s tax deductible.
Fantastic place! My 2 year old was so engaged and loved exploring every bit. It was so nice to take her to a place where she could run around and touch and explore everything. There were lots of people and a couple schools visiting on our visit, but there was lots to do and nothing seemed super crowded. Seriously fantastic!
Fantastic place! Good price, 15$ a person. They do have military and senior discounts. The museum looks small but there is plenty to do! Kids had a great time in each section and we were there about 4 and a half hours. Good things for all ages. We brought our 4, 7 and 10 year old. They all had fun. All of the staff are really nice. Some of the things that were really fun, fact painting station, bubble area, water play, fake diner and food and a craft room which was home made playdoh. There is so much more. There is no parking set aside, but they have multiple parking places super near by. Not really any food but plenty of space to eat if bring own food. Would most definitely recommend and we will be going again.
This place is an absolute must-visit in the bay area for kids. We went there with our 2 year old and spent over 4 hours and there was still more to see. He had a great time. The water area and the train ride outside were his most favorite. We would definitely go back soon.
