Henry T. Gunderson High School

It is a great school. Has much diversity, and whatever negatives people say aren't the truth. Academically you will be successful if you attend this school. It is a school that has much acceptance, and everyone on the campus tries to help you succeed in whatever you need help.

I attended back in 2008-2010.

Pros:
- Amazing student body/teachers
- Large amount of diversity, which fosters tolerance and community
- Low amounts of violence/drug abuse during school hours

Cons:
- Low API, not a very strong drive to achieve
- Few AP classes (no math/physics when I first came in)

Things may have changed since I attended. The reason the school gets 4 stars is because the student body and teachers made high school such an enjoyable experience that I don't regret the lacking scholastic options at all. If I could choose to attend Gunderson over Leland or Pioneer again, I would.

By the way, I just graduated from UCLA with a BS in Civil Engineering. Some of my classmates went to Berkeley, Davis, Brown, Harvard, and Santa Barbara.

Most wonderful school I have ever been to. Diverse and accepting, The student body is very supportive and come together during a time of need and have been improving and excelling every year as far as academics and spirit.

Excellent school, caring students and staff. A very diverse student body, everyone is accepted. You will never feel out of place. I love going to school here, it has changed the person I am.

Great school, excellent staff, fabulous students, and offers opportunities for all types of students. Gunderson is diverse, and will continue to produce students ready to meet the challenges ahead.

As far as the review by Brandon, we can only assume it is a disgruntled student. There are no gangs, no crack, and one of the lowest suspension rates in the district. It is a false review, and should be treated as such.
