It's most difficult living in this area. The homeless situation definitely is worse and there are drug users living on the sidewalks. Apartments are expensive no matter where you go in the bay area especially silicon valley. The management is strict, but if you are able to communicate efficiently and go through the right channels everything works out. I have lived in the same apartment in this area since 1997. I have never experienced rats, or bedbugs. There was a roach problem, but it has been resolved since 2004.
