Affiliated with both the American Baptists Churches - USA and United Church of Christ (UCC), this church it's very much a part of the liberal, progressive Protestant movement. Founded during the Civil Rights Movement, New Community of Faith (NCF) celebrated it's 50th anniversary a few years ago and has never had more than 100 members. It's the very definition of a small church.
Small churches can be a little intimidating at first, but you become part of the family pretty fast and this church "walks the talk!" When they say, they welcome anyone and everyone, they really mean it! And when I use the term, "Welcome," I mean no matter who you are or where you've been.
It's hard to be anonymous in a small church, but hese people will treat you like family on day one, so be prepared!
