Only have had Burmese food a few times. The original salad was good, refreshing, light. The fried chicken also a bit above average, heavy on the vinaigrette, crispy, not too dry. The coconut noodles, unfortunately, was not to my liking, somewhat blend.
It was my first time having Burmese Cuisine and I really enjoyed everything that I tried! The tea leaf salad was really special (just be aware that it does contain peanuts)! I can definitely recommend the Burmese Chicken Curry bento as well. The curry was mildly spicy. The portions were quite large and the prices super reasonable...and the taste was top notch! The flavors reminded me a little of both Thai Cuisine and Indian Cuisine but the food was definitely unique and its own thing.
an amazing but inconspicuous restaurant to delve into burmese cuisine! came for lunch with two friends and service was fast, attentive, and helpful when we had questions about what to order. as someone with a pitifully low spice tolerance sometimes i err away from cuisines like this but to my delight the food was flavorful and it please my spice loving friends too. overall win win and will definitely be back for their tea leaf salad and chicken curry.
This is probably my favorite Burmese restaurant in the Bay Area coming from a Burmese person who grew up in Myanmar. The Shan noodles were delicious despite being vegetarian! My partner really enjoyed his coconut noodles too. The dessert option was also just like from home. My go to place :) just wish they had outdoor dining options. The price was also great. I would take this place over any of the fancier Burmese restaurants with subpar flavors
Delicious Burmese food, you should give it a try and dip into new flavors. They have well priced bento boxes, try the one with yellow pea curry, it comes with the Excellent tea salad (a must have). We also had the noodles with chicken, and very good. For lunch they also had a free cup of soup.
The service is very attentive, and the food is served quickly. We will be back.
