I've been going to Jeff for violin maintenance work for the last couple of years. He is super attentive and his prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend his services to my fellow violinist friends.
Jeff did an amazing job rehair my bowl. He finished it in a day so I did not miss any practice time. He did such a fantastic job that I can hear the difference in playing. His price is really fair, lower than the store I went in Atlanta. Overall highly recommended!
I am extremely grateful for the attention to detail and masterful work done at J. K. White Violins inside of the Starving Musician in Santa Clara.
I went in for a stripped eyelet and Jeff was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining how changes in the weight distribution and camber can unlock the potential of antique and modern professional level bows. He professionally restored my H. R. Pfretzschner violin bow and it has never felt or played better! Jeff did exceptional work on the tip plate, re-camber, silver winding, grip and re-hair of my violin bow. The turn around time was quick, communication and service was flawless. Would go back and fully trust Jeff with my beloved instrument/bows. Thank you!
Jeff was very helpful in answering all my questions. He also allowed plenty of time for me to get familiar with the instruments. I just got a beautiful violin from him as well as some very interesting knowledge about the art of violin making. Highly recommended.
Jeff White (hence White violins) and Vernon are amazing. Both helped me a couple of times in trying and understanding Antique violins better. I have visited and tried different violin stores in the South Bay area. If you are searching for antique and seasoned violins, this is the place to go. They do a lot of violin repair, graduating, upgrades etc. too. They moved location rather recently so note the new address.
