(February 15, 2019, 10:34 pm)Walk in, pull the menu off the shelf and add the items you want for your table, then pay ahead and sit down anywhere you like. You can eat at the bar area as well. The dishes are hot and delicate in flavor. Simple menu, not overwhelming...just pastas as a main entree. The soup and salad and bread...the bread is very good lightly dusted with EVOO and sea salt served warm. The ambiance is just ok as you can see in the pictures. $100 for 1/2 bottle of vino, 1 salad, 1 soup and 2 entrees. Good but pricey.

Having got that out of the way, the ambiance of the place is not the most cozy. The restaurant was cold in temperature as well as decor. The thing is must Italian restaurant are formal sit-down places with napkins and wine glasses. Pasta Armellino has the ambiance of a burger joint while serving fine pasta.

Pasta Armellino seriously blows me away every time I go here! I'm a huge fan of their pasta dishes! This is the casual spinoff restaurant of the famed Plumed Horse, so I knew it had to be good. They have both street parking and parking in the lot behind the restaurant.

Pasta Armellino brightened up the space with white tiles and a fresh coat of blue paint where the previous restaurant had been kept purposely dim with a darker color palette.
