“I am in my seventies. When I was young, I did not have proper dental care. Even though I got regular dental care in later years, my dental condition is poor. About 9 years ago, my dental condition deteriorated quickly. The dental care I received at that time was not sufficient to stabilize my condition. I asked my family doctor for recommendation. He recommended his own dentist Dr. Wynn. After seeing Dr. Wynn, my teeth condition starts to stabilize. First, she increases my check up frequency from twice a year to once every 3 months. Additional differences between Dr. Wynn's practice and other dentists' also help. With my previous dentists, I spent more time in waiting than treatment. There was limited time for asking questions. It is especially difficult to get answer about questions I had after the visit. With Dr. Wynn, I get seated immediately for my appointment. Right after, Dr. Wynn comes in with full knowledge of my case. Afterward in her office, Dr. Wynn takes care of administrative issues and leaves plenty of time for me to ask questions. If I have further question afterward, she answers my e-mail promptly. Since I need to monitor my dental health closer then other patients, Dr. Wynn provides me with dental records to help me in identifying areas needing attention and for tracking my progress. About ethical practice, I have one experience to share. I had a tooth which had been loose for over 20 years. Last June (2021) it started to cause pain and needed to be removed. As a result, I needed a new retainer. Dr. Wynn believed that since Lab could not just modify my old retainer, a brand new one would be required. She charged accordingly. However, she sent my old retainer along with new impression to the Lab. When time came to fit the new retainer, I got the surprise news that Lab was able to modify my old retainer and this saved me about $670. The lab could have just made a new retainer and earned more profit, but instead it made effort to modify the old retainer and save patient money. At the same time, Dr. Wynn promptly passed the saving back to me. This level of integrity extends from Dr. Wynn all the way to the Lab she uses. I am impressed.”
