“Great School. Teachers have time to see you at break, lunch, and after school. Many sports and clubs are offered. The new classrooms are amazing. We have a new Mur and they are building a theater which should be ready by next year.”

“Well organized and clean. A very nice selection of lot of top name brand guitars and basses. Fender, Gibson, Gretsch and others. The acoustic room was crowded on the Saturday I went, so I didn't get to see much in there. Staff was friendly and there was ample parking despite some construction near their lot. Located on Bascom near Foxworthy.”

“Neighborhood community park, well maintained facilities. Fenced-in areas are often closed and locked after school hours, but adjacent park and playgrounds remain open.”

“We started sending my son when he was 2 years 2 months or so. He cried initially for a week or so just until crossing the door and he was super happy to play with his friends after. We saw a lot of changes after he started here within a couple months, he was eating better, which was a major concern at that time. He became more disciplined, in fact he started to talk better and better, sing the rhymes, say numbers up to 10, a-z, above all he liked the painting so much. The staff at the daycare are so professional, they take care of each and everyone so nicely. We were really sad to change the kid from here, but eventually we moved to a different town in the bay area and ended up changing, otherwise we would have continued to enjoy here.”

“I love our school. The teachers have been wonderful! The school implements an inclusion model that makes all students feel welcome. The administration is great at communicating with parents and making them feel supported. The administration went above and beyond during the school closures in making sure every student was able to continue learning from day one. I couldn't ask for anything more in a Catholic education. St. Joseph school has provided an enriching learning environment for my family for 5 years and we are grateful to be a part of the community.”

“We have been part of the Action Day Primary Plus family for 7 years. My first son went there when he was 6 months old. From the first day, we felt comfortable with the teachers and the environment felt safe. Now we currently have our second son there (2 years old) and loves it. He is always happy and playing when I pick him up. He talks about his friends and teachers and what he did that day. The staff is familiar with all the kids and is familiar with who the parents are. I couldn't have selected a better place for my son to be while I'm at work!”

“My child has been a student of this academy for about 3 weeks now and so far, I have been extremely pleased by how this facility is run. I am one of those parents who value high quality education and customer service. Prior to selecting this academy for my child, I actually reviewed and toured 3 facilities to ensure that I am placing my child in an educational facility where a well-rounded primary educational experience is offered. And so far, I feel that that is exactly what my child is receiving. This facility practicing proper sanitation techniques from the moment you enter to the last minute when the children are picked up. They ensure safety by ensuring their front doors are locked during business hours. They also offer many activities for the children to partake in. There is a good balance of academics and fun. There is a good student to teacher ratio. All the educators are well-loved by the children. My daughter is always so excited to go to school every day and is sad when she has to leave. Having children start their educational journey in a safe, nurtured, and enriching environment is a great start to ensuring the students' successful educational journey.”

“This school used to be called J.W. Fair Middle School (thunder birds) back in the 90's when we migrated here in San Jose from the Philippines. I attended middle school here back in 1996-1998. Mr. Rosas, Ms. Okhalon, Mr. Smith (P.E.), and Mrs. Lee were my favorite teachers. I was an honor student there. This rating is for the time i attended J.W. Fair Thunder Birds back in 1996-1998.”

“Very diverse student base! My children are friends with children from all over the world. What an extraordinary experience. Teachers are top notch. My children cam from a private school in Missouri and were substantially behind in Math and a few other subjects. I am amazed daily at the extra measures the teachers are willing to take in order to bring my children up to speed. They really tailor their teaching to the student. It is quite remarkable!!!”

“Our son who is now 5 has been going here since he just turned 2. He has naturally been reading since he was 2 and is very focussed so we wanted him to attend a pre school where he could "free play". For him Heffalump has helped him in many ways more than one. It is such a warm environment for any child to thrive. The teachers Minakshi, Barbara, Natalya and Craig are wonderful people who really genuinely love children and root for their growth; they nurture them is such a loving way. Each teacher brings in their own strength and combined - they form a great team. They build confidence in each child, and let kids be kids. Do not be fooled by the building (which is an old Palo Alto building setting) as you enter. Spend some time understanding how kids are loved and made to thrive in this wonderful pre-school. It is a no fuss, non fancy place - unlike most schools in the area. It is a home away from home. Kids rarely get sick as they are taught how to wash hands and taught how to be independent. Wonderful place!”

“My son who is 4 years old now is currently at JB Preschools. He has been here now for 2 years and has loved it. Teacher Susan and Jeramiah are really great with the kids. I love the fact that it's a small amount of children so they all get a lot of attention compared to other schools who have so many kids in them. Plus other schools require children to already be potty trained and Susan is willing to work with kids who are in the process of it which is pretty rare to find. It takes a lot of patience to deal with children and I'm amazed how well they deal with them. We are very happy with them so eventually my little girl will also attend their school!”

“The schools isn’t as bad as many reviews say it is. Nonetheless, it isn’t great. 4 main feeder schools go into Sunnyvale middle. Cherry chase, Cumberland, Ellis, and Vargas. Ellis and Vargas are not the nicest schools and that has a profound effect on the general ambiance. That being said, most of the kids from cherry chase and Cumberland are good enough to make up for it. There are bad kids, and there are good kids. There are a small number of bad kids who feel as if it is their obligation to screw up the school. These select few get into fights, vandalize, and skip. They have a no tolerance policy for fighting but they don’t do much for the other 2. The teachers are mixed as well. I’d say the majority of them are good teachers (If you get Ms. Mckell, fear for your life). Overall, I enjoyed my time there.”
