“Trees were and easily pickable by people of all heights. Payment is an on your honor system, with a scale and pay box on sight. Cost is $2.50 per pound, which is very reasonable, considering Gizditch farm is $5/pound. We came mid September and only 2 kinds of apples were confirmed ripe, about 4 other kinds were “some ripe”, the rest (about another 4 kinds) were “not ripe”. Overall, great experience, great variety in apples, easy to pick, and economically priced! Definitely look forward to coming back here next year!”

(A short bio of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, but the again, you can do a web search for more extensive bio and information.) Lama Tharchin Rinpoche was a Dzogchen master of Vajrayana Buddhism and the tenth lineage holder of a family lineage of yogis, or householders of the Repkong Ngakpas, which is the largest community of non-monastic practitioners in Tibet. Rinpoche was trained in HH Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje's monastery, engaged in five years of solitary retreat and then completed the three year retreat with three others under the supervision of Dudjom Rinpoche. He was recognized not only because of his great realization, but also for his vast knowledge of Tibetan ritual arts, music, and dance, as well as the philosophical basis of the Vajrayana teachings.”
