“Off the beaten path, this place is worth the extra drive to get there if you're looking for a beach that's not as busy as the beaches closer to Santa Cruz. There are paved parking spots rather than a dirt turnout or a narrow shoulder off the side of the road to park on. There are some neat rock formations and the beach is closed in by cliffs on both sides. There is somewhat of a steep descent to access the beach and therefore a climb to get out. But unless you have a broken leg or issues walking, it's pretty simple to get down there and back.”

“Very peaceful place. Has ample parking spots. Can take your car either up to the 8 verses loop or the temple. Felt the calmness and really positive energy around as we entered the area. Breakfast and other meditation facilities only for registered guests (students and members). The temple above needs keys which can be picked up from the bookstore at the entrance. Very cute stone balancing and mini plants arrangement all around the place. The restrooms at the top have bee really well maintained. One of my favorite places around now!”

“I've been going to Happy Valley for years for camps and retreats. The staff is great and the food is outstanding. As a camping experience, I'd call it more deluxe. There are heated cabins with showers, food is served. As a conference center, it's more on the rustic side with beautiful grounds nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains. ”
