  Awesome service!! Heard a clunk near my tire before setting out for vacation with van full of family and belongings. I, of course, freaked about the safety of the vehicle with my littles in it. They let me bring it in to check it despite it being 3pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend and not even the speciality vehicle they work on. I was beyond impressed that they took the time to check it out for us and didn’t even charge for their trouble. Husband drives a M5 so will definitely be taking it there from now on for the awesome service! Thanks again, guys!

  Out a lot. Even though he couldn’t do the work on my car he spent a week sending me to people who were able to do it. He is very community oriented in Benicia helping out people even if he isn’t the one who gets the job. a great guy

  Paulo is a true professional and gentleman. He went out of his way to expedite the delivery of special order parts, and ensured that I was on my way in a timely fashion. He treated me with respect and went to great lengths to accommodate my schedule (even offering to drive me to and pick me up from work, after-hours). He's a great mechanic; he really takes the time to show you what's wrong with your vehicle, and to properly diagnose the issue, and he stands by his work. He has certainly earned my trust and business. He is the man to see if you live in the East Bay and drive a Mini Cooper.

  We have a 2006 BMW650I Convertible. On our way to Tahoe, all kinds of warning lights came on. We had the car towed to Benicia Motor Works. The day after the the car was towed, my husband survived a major stroke. It is my husband's car and I really don't know anything about cars. I was focused on my husband's recovery. Paulo had to assess the car and it was a very complicated electrical problem. He is a true expert in these cars. He explained every step and worked with me to repair the car over the next 7 months. He had to deal with our insurance company and it added more time, effort and complexities. Paulo was persistent, knowledgeable, and very service oriented. Even the insurance inspectors respected Paulo's knowledge and experience. If it were not for Paulo's expertise, patience and kindness, I could not have gotten through the last 8 months. My husband may or may not be able to drive his car due to his stroke but Paulo worked really hard to make sure that when he can drive, his car will work. I highly recommend Benicia Motor Works! Thanks Paulo!

  When I lived in SF I had a great BMW mechanic, and now it seems I've found his equal in the East Bay! Last year I bought a used 2012 BMW 328i with every tech package available from a reputable 3rd party reseller, where the car had gone through a full diagnostic exam. Although the car has been running well it was getting time for its scheduled service, and this is where I feel very lucky to have found Paolo's shop. I reached out via text message and he was very prompt, patient, and friendly in his communications. He took time out of his evening, after closing hours, to run a full computer diagnostic, during which he found countless electrical errors, a problem with the battery, and worn out brakes. He gave me an on the spot estimate which I agreed to.
  
  The next day he emailed me a full report of the diagnostic result, every error code and what it indicated, as well as his own analysis of what needed to be done. The report contained a detailed estimate, and after the work was done the same day, that's exactly the price I paid. He also showed me the updated computer scan showing all the error codes were gone. The car came back freshly cleaned inside and out and running like a champ.
  
  A week later Paulo proactively reached out to me and offered to do another full computer diagnostic to make sure nothing had resurfaced since he completed the work (it hadn't).
  
  So to summarize - great customer service, quality workmanship, and fair pricing. Can't beat that!
