“Visiting the area for a couple of months and wanted to try a sushi place. Ohkura is located right outside of the main gate to the AFB. It doesn’t look like much from the road, but once you are inside you will find it is very clean, quiet, casual and the staff is polite and friendly. They sat us right away, brought our drinks, answered any questions about the menu and even made a couple of suggestions. The food is prepared fresh at the sushi bar and it not only looked amazing, it tasted delicious. The prices are typical of what you would expect at a casual sushi restaurant. The menu had plenty of options. We would definitely eat here again.”

This plate is Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 I am really trying to watch what I eat, and this fits perfectly for me, very keto friendly!! The mix of vegetables was perfect, the heat was just right. Hoping this will be on the menu often, as I’ll be there for dinner!!! I cannot wait to try a few other items I noticed on the menu, and I’m really mad I have not taken the time to visit them before! “I was driving the wicked early hours when nothing is open when I discover what seemed to be a hole in the wall that was 24hours. I pulled in with my trailer to see it was drive through only and was disappointed. Then walked around to see it had a huge open drive thu. Still didn't get my hopes up on good food, but was hungry. Drive through cashier was extremely friendly for 4:30 am. I ordered 2 tacos, 1 shredded beef, 1 chicken. Just in case I didn't like one of them. As I left and ate them I was amazed! They were outstanding! In fact, quite possibly the best tacos I ever had. And I have had many authentic tacos in my life. I am so glad I found this hidden gem. I will be bringing the family very soon.”

“I ordered a bowl of seafood pho and some egg rolls. Now this review is based on when I just rolled into town after 4 hours of driving and was craving a steaming hot bowl of pho. Let’s note it was raining that day. The egg rolls were made fresh and they were packed with meat and veggies, not the traditional noodle. This dish wasn’t my favorite because the taste was not up to par, yet it could be someone else’s favorite. I did like my pho, and with the mom and pop feel of this place, made the dish even more enjoyable on a rainy cloudy day. My boyfriend ordered a traditional Vietnamese dish of rice, eggs, beef, and crab. He finished his dish so that says a lot lol.”

The chocolate cake and cranberry cake were soft and delicious. The fruit was perfectly ripe and full of flavor. The food was outstanding. The champagne with choice of juice for mimosas were generous and a perfect accompaniment to our food. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations on the food. We are definitely coming back. In today's rising costs for everything, this meal was generous and a great price for everything!”

“It'll never be the same again, and this is PRE-Covid. The atmosphere was way different 3-4 years ago when they still promoted a wifi -friendly atmosphere. Things quickly dulled after that and then with covid hitting, it's just a not-so-convenient neighborhood coffee shop. However, the manager has always been super professional and the staff knowledgeable and friendly, so I guess it really just depends on what you're looking for. I still go there, but it has dropped from 2-3 times a week to once every month or so.”

“I'm not a big fan of Crab Rangoon. Most places over fry a thick wonton. Not this place. The Rangoon was very delicate. A paper thin wonton fried to perfection and presented very nicely. I like papaya salad but a lot of places drench it until it's a wet mess. Here the Som Tum salad was very crisp was just right amount of dressing. We also tried 3 different curries and all were very good. This place is only 7 minutes from my house. I will be back!”
