“Independently owned convenience store. Good for beer runs and munchies. A 7/11 would put them out of business, but without competition in the downtown Suisun area, this is it unless you drive. Still, the guys that work here are always friendly, and the prices aren't crazy.”

“This is a great place to buy designer items at a substantial discount. It also offers the opportunity to sell your lightly used designer items and make some money. The owner is very professional and friendly.”

“We visited this museum during the Christmas season, which I imagine to be one of their busiest, with a fair number of families bringing children for the Santa Rides. Make sure to call before your visit, as there might be changes from what is posted on the website. The trains range from municipal electric train to older, massive rail cars and at least one huge, black locomotive. The place is run by volunteers who evidently put in a lot of time and care into keeping the museum entertaining and relevant, so we'll visit again at a different time of year for a second look. Being located to the side of CA-12, pulling off into the turn out lane can be a bit daunting if traffic moves along close and fast so make sure to signal well in advance. If you're making a day out of it, it's worth driving to Rio Vista for something to eat, where several restaurants and diner offer pretty good fare at good prices, certainly better than the generic fast food places you pass by Suisun City.”

“A perfect spot for the family who enjoy trains especially the children. The surrounding scenery makes it even better. All the trains are vintage and everyone of them has a story to tell. When your done riding and looking at all the trians visit the picnic area's for lunch to relax. Have fun.”

“Yolanda is a great resource. If you stop in for ideas, especially if you can't make the group tours, she will give you all the info you need to create your own trip. In case you miss her, sharing the info she gave us. Her recommended winery: Sterling Winery, ($35 for self guided winery sampling and tour, great views going up in an air tram). Best way to go to San Fran: Take the ferry from Vallejo to San Francisco at 10am on Sat/Sun, (try for Sat to make it to Farmers Market), parking $7 and one way ticket $15. We didn't have time for the jelly bean factory tour and oil and wine market nearby in Fairfield but will do it next time. Thanks Yolanda!”
