  This is in response to the negative review recently posted. We had reserved our site several weeks in advance. Our friends who had the campsite right next to us arrived before us, at about 1pm and saw that someone else was still set up on our site. But, the campers were no where in sight. When we arrived to check in just before 2pm, the other campers’ tent and stuff was still there. The site manager, who was extremely apologetic, explained to us that the gentlemen who were on the site had not yet checked out. She said she had moved them from another site to our site earlier in the weekend but told them that they had to be out by noon on Sunday since we were coming in. The owners suggested we set everything else up except for our tent. And once the campers came and packed up, we could finish setting up our tent. We agreed. So we waited and waited and waited. The owners kept checking in on us hourly –each time asking us if we wanted to move the tent. We said to wait until it got dark, to give the missing campers time to get back. At 7:30pm the owners came by for another check in and because it was getting late said that they would move the tent at that time to give us the space needed to put up our tent before nightfall. So the owners, with great care, pulled out the stakes and moved the tent over about 5 feet next to his car (not on the street) and placed the stakes near the tent. We never left our campsite that afternoon since we were busy setting up what we could and preparing dinner. At NO time did the owners go through any of their belongings. The managers did the best they could in an extremely awkward situation. It was an unfortunate misunderstanding. But, we ended up having a great experience - the location was great, the campsite was clean and the bathrooms were the best I have seen on a campground. The managers were friendly and took great pride in what they do. We will definitely be back.

  Hosts are good people, very helpful & friendly. Great little place on the quieter side of the river from Johnson's Beach. This is about a 15 minute walk into town.
