  A great little spot for a dip in the lazy freshwater river. The shore and river bottom are rocky so bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet. There’s a small snack shack on-site with a very limited menu.

  Great beach, easy to access from the road. There's tons of free parking. You can rent kayaks from a shack there, and the river is a very gentle one to kayak down. Big beach leaves plenty of room to not feel crowded. The beach doesn't have a lot of shade, so bring your own. The river is gentle & shallow, but gets deep enough to swim in. Fun for little ones to wade in & play with rocks. Beach is mainly small rocks.

  A long stretch of public beach on the Russian River with both shallows for kids to splash in and deep water for swimming. Free parking, free entrance, some picnic areas and a bathroom. If you are looking for a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon for free this is the perfect spot. The only downside is that it's usually very busy and packed with people but that's just proof that it is a wonderful spot.

  This place holds so many good memories of being with my family and growing up. The quaint town of Monte Rio expands during Summer vacations. Off #101 No. Exit on #494. Look for Monte Rio. Beautiful. Peaceful. Fun!
