Easy to work with and great sound

Booked a session here to lay down vocals with my 18 yr old niece, a talented live singer who had never before recorded in a studio. It was her 1st time in CA and our 1st time singing together! Tim was excellent to work with, from his willingness to offer his time to us during the holidays, to providing an opportunity to tour the studio and chat with him beforehand, to the musical and technical expertise he demonstrated during our session. My niece relaxed right into the easy-going vibe of Mountain Dog Musicworks and we both appreciated Tim's personable style, generous nature and many talents. We watched him work efficiently and masterfully, helping us produce 4 songs in 3 hours with multiple harmony tracks! Tim’s method of teaching is great in that it approaches the student’s need by crafting a learning style tailored to their musical inclinations (ear training vs theory, improvisation vs composition), grounded in effective analogies and reasonable goal setting. Likewise, needed correctional guidance is present for when a bad habit or bizarre self-learned technique is compromising a student’s playing ability. I highly recommend Mountain Dog Musicworks for any guitarist beginning, experienced, or perpetually stuck on a learning curve.

Tim is an incredibly competent sound engineer. He knows everything there is to know about recording. He is a highly ethical businessman
and is easy to work with. He is faith-filled and has a wonderful young
family.

Just finished up recording an album with Tim's help and guidance. Was my first experience in a recording studio and the patience, professionalism, and love of his craft shined through.
