  I love to sit in the kitten room. The staff if friendly and very helpful. They take such good care of the animals.

  It was a fun place to visit. I was able to feed the horses. Play with the cats. And see so the dogs. I thank the Volunteers there, there very friendly, they do an awesome job taking care of the animals. Thank you guys so much.

  What they do here is pretty amazing. During the fires, they helped out those who were affected by housing their loved ones. Every time we take a visit they have a different rotation of dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. They always seem to find a home. The signs they put up clearly indicate what their issues may be and why or why not you should approach the animals. It is really nice to experience a facility that puts the animals housed first. If we ever have extra dog food (for unseen circumstances) we always donate it here because we know it is going to a good cause/home. The employees are always nice and informative. I have never seen a place like this where lost and home-needed animals can spend some time before finding a forever-home. I wish every center for animal well being was like this. Founded by a good cause and maintained by that ideology. If you have a love for animals and their well being, please check out what this should be standard of well being is.

Toys are always in demand at the Humane Society of Ventura County, especially dog toys! We go through toys quite quickly to keep the dogs and cats entertained at the shelter. Circle K International at Ventura College stopped by last Saturday with hand-made dog toys and then handed out to our dogs.
