(October 26, 2017, 3:30 pm)Middle Lion is first come, first served camping. It's quite small so finding a site on a Friday evening could be tough. It's quite remote and services are very limited - meaning you've got pit toilets and that's basically it. I think there was a spigot for water but can't remember now - it's been a while. There is no cell service to speak of.
It's a beautiful little spot with a creek running along its edge. Surprisingly green for SoCal.
It can be a little sketchy sometimes in terms of the characters who frequent the area during the week so be vigilant. Very little ranger presence there. It does fill up with families on the weekends however. -

(January 25, 2017, 8:42 pm)This place was a great choice to watch the meteor shower that was going on while we camped. In another nearby campground we took a hike to a waterfall that you could crawl under into a little cave. It was a great weekend.
