  Bart's books has got to be the cutest most generous bookstore I know. There are books everywhere, yet it's all open. Their selection is of a very wide variety, from antique to astronomy, comic books to romance novels, and everything in between. There are tables available for you're leisure, and the service is so friendly and open; a reflection of the shop itself. It remains one of my favorite bookstores.

  This is such a unique place, you need to stop in and enjoy it. Who would ever think to create a book store that is mostly outside? The folks working are so friendly and helpful.

  Very interesting experience. Most of the bookstore is exposed to the elements but protected enough not to be damaged. Walking around the bookshelves and in and out of the sunlight was an incredible experience. Throughout the store were seats buyers could use to enjoy a few minutes of perusing their prospective purchases.

  Easily the coolest bookstore I have ever been to!! Staff is deeply knowledgeable about books and can quickly take you to where something might be located. This place is a treasure trove of literary bliss! When I said I was from out of town, the owner offered to ship the books to my home for free (if I spent enough, which was not a problem)!! Can't wait to go back!

(805) 646-3755. I'm in love with This place. The staff leaves you alone to do your thing and hunt and read Books!!! Beautiful location and setup. Sweet spot for an afternoon of reading in the sun. My daughter and I frequent Bart's Books as a special outing together.
