Big Rock Preserve

Great little preserve ran by the Ventura Land Trust (VLT). Entrance is off the bike path that follows Hwy 33 towards Ventura. Park under the 33 Hwy and Casitas Vista Road. Hide any valuables out of sight in your car so nobody walking around gets any ideas. Walk towards the park and then down the bike path a few minutes and you'll see the trailhead sign on your right. The entire trail(s) is only a mile or so but you'll find the river back there. According to the VLT you can enter the river and explore just be safe and respectful of the nature there. There can occasionally be vagrants near the area so I'd always go with a buddy. Have fun!
