SCIL is a very unique law school.
It provides a quality legal education that prepares students for the California Bar Exam at a very reasonable price and a convenient evening schedule.
Knowledgeable and carrying Dean and a faculty are the greatest assets of this school, together with a supportive and encouraging student body of fellow students and alumni.
Upon graduation from SCIL I received a Juris Doctorate degree; I passed the California Bar Examination on the first attempt; I became a licensed attorney, a professor of law, and, a contract specialist for the Federal Government.
Because of this school I acquired a legal career and life-long friends and colleagues.
I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of this scholarly organization.
As an IRS Appeals Officer I believe the superb legal education I gained from attending and graduating from SCIL had a substantial positive impact on my promotions within the IRS and significantly influenced the development of my quasi-judicial decision-making skills.
At Appeals Hearings, I constantly interact with "big law" attorneys who attended high-cost prestigous law schools and, knowing what I now know, I feel privileged that I had the opportunity to participate in small and convenient part-time evening classes, with moderate tuition rates, and classes that were taught by "real world" Instructors.
Dean Pulle was and is a superb intellect and Constitutional Law scholar, his Constitutional Law classes were both stimulating and rigorous, and he made the U.S. Constitution "come alive" for me.
I strongly recommend SCIL to those who are not enamored by the fading fortunes of "big law." Ron Scott, Class of 1995, Attorney at Law, CPA, admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.
I have heard that SCIL is a law school that instructs not simply to the bar exam but goes in depth to discuss the rationales of the law and that its dean is among the most knowledgeable on the subject.
Whether you plan on becoming an Attorney, or just want to become educated with the vast expanse of personal growth and skills that a Law school provides. SCIL can provide that. Starting with Dean Pulle, through the Legal Research instructor, the staff is what makes the school. A Law School is just a building, the staff is what is the law school is.
SCIL's staff of Attorneys reminded me of an century old single room class setting where all 1L,2L and 3L's got their early, went over case preparations and grew together into future Attorneys. The student body, along with the Professor Attorneys are all members of the local community. Working, raising kids and making a difference in our community together. Its the most affordable, and will provide all that you need, to get you where you want to go.

SCIL has GREAT Professors and the BEST part-time Law School schedule if you also work full-time.
And, I am proud to say that, with the above, I now have my Juris Doctorate and I am currently preparing to pass the California Bar Exam.
