“This place was a FIND! I've been between barbers for a while because my regular guy retired. I had a special event to attend on that particular weekend, so I had to find a place fast. I pretty much picked this place at random. I showed Isaac the barber a picture on my phone of the haircut that I wanted, and he gave me just exactly that! They really pay attention when you tell them how you want your hair. Friendly service, minimal waiting time, no appointments needed. Prices are also very reasonable. They advertise "$10 and up", but it depends on what style of cut you get. Well, I think I found myself a new barber now. I will definitely go back. Great experience.”

“My family and I recently traveled to California from Texas for Spring Break. My 14 year old son has braces and one of his wires broke loose while we were in Ventura. He did his best to endure it but the sharp wire was digging into his cheek, causing him significant discomfort, and distracting him from enjoying the trip. We were far from home and knew we had to fix the problem. I bought small pliers and clippers at a hardware store in case we couldn’t find an orthodontist who could help. Luckily, I didn’t have to implement a DIY solution. I called the office of Dr. Bruce Abbink (Ventura Orthodontic Group) and explained the situation. The lady I spoke with was understanding and friendly. She said they could help us and made sure we knew how to find the building. We didn’t know what to expect when we entered the office. I envisioned stacks of paperwork and a costly bill but my fears were unfounded. Everyone was welcoming and treated us like family the moment we walked through the door. Dr. Abbink quickly put my son at ease with some friendly sports talk. He clipped the wandering wire and ensured my son would be comfortable for the remainder of our trip. Dr. Abbink showed me what he had done and gave us some good information to share with our regular orthodontist when we returned to Texas. The whole process lasted less than 5 minutes. To my extreme surprise, there were no superfluous forms and they didn’t even charge me! I offered to pay but they wouldn’t accept it. The staff at Ventura Orthodontic Group is exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Dr. Abbink was polite, professional, and efficient. My family deeply appreciates everyone’s friendly, “can do” attitude. We are very grateful for the assistance and support we received here.”
