My daughter attended Discovery Preschool for 2 years (Tiny Tots and Kinder Kids) and my son attended their Tiny Tots program before going to Transitional Kindergarten. My youngest daughter will start there this August and we are SO excited to get to join the Discovery Preschool FAMILY once again! The lead teacher, Mrs. Hansen, is the best there is. She is kind, dedicated, and has a great sense of humor. She has a great deal of early childhood education experience and it shows -- she is passionate about her job and loves children! She takes a personal interest in each and every child to make sure they strive and ensures they enjoy their preschool experience. Discovery has a very caring, warm, and loving atmosphere and the kids really do love it there, as well as the parents. The teachers are nurturing, enthusiastic, organized, and effective! They have more patience than anyone I've ever met and really have a love for teaching young children. My children not only learned a great deal, they had FUN. I am so thankful for Discovery Preschool and for the amazing teachers there. I highly recommend Discovery!
We loved everything about Discovery Preschool. Our daughter entered as a very shy little girl. Mrs. Hansen helped her get to know the other children & start stepping out of her shyness. She attended Discovery for 2 years & left the Pre K program ready for Kindergarten both socially & educationally! I have recommended this school to many friends who have all loved it!
Discovery Preschool in West Sacramento is one of the most trusted and nurturing places a parent can hope to secure a spot in for their preschool child. Mrs. Hansen has served as Lead Teacher and now Site Supervisor there for over 12 years, literally hundreds of children have had the privilege of learning through hands on play, language, literacy and numeracy activities. Through the sensitive caregiving that Mrs. Hansen and now her aide Mrs. Jensen so generously give, the kids learn social and emotional skills that uniquely prepare them for kindergarten.
