“Wow! What a great time we had! We rented paddle boards and bikes from SportsRents and it was so easy. The customer service here is really top notch. I felt like I was borrowing equipment from a family member. They keep their equipment in great shape too. Everything was brand new! Highly, highly, highly recommend!”

“I had a flat bicycle tire and needed a quick and affordable fix. I searched online and called several bike shops and they had the best price and also they open hours earlier than any other bike shop. They were easy to find and had lots of parking. They just opened summer of 2018 but had a lot in stock. The crew is extremely friendly and informative. They gave me great tips on removing the rust off my bike and they didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary services or gear. They don’t just do maintenance and repairs; they also sell higher end bikes. There is a biking trail near by which makes this place a great stop for energy bars, water, repairs, maintenance, or to buy your next bike. The owner, Robert, just went above and beyond to make sure I received great service, and I couldn’t be more appreciative, especially since I’ve never taken any bikes in for service before. The owner is a firefighter and also bikes regularly, so he’s knowledgeable with bikes and trustworthy. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.”

“My go-to shop in the Santa Clarita Valley - always helpful and attentive, and a good group of people. Some people may complain about higher prices, but that's what happens when having to compete with online retailers who sell to a much larger customer base at little to sometimes no profit margin. For example, if Large Online Retailer sells 150 tubes a day vs. Local Shop who on average might sell 5, Large Online Retailer will get better pricing from the distributor and can also afford to sell for less as well, which drives the overall price far lower than Local Shop could sell for.”

“I went into the shop with my son's bike that had been purchased at a big box store. It was Saturday on a holiday weekend. I'm sure that Chad had more lucrative things to do. Nonetheless, the bike needed the wheel put back on as my we had a lost lug nut. The brakes were a disaster and needed to be tightened and adjusted. Chad took great care of me. He helped me understand the differences between bikes at the big box stores and ones that were made to last. While sharing that information, he did not make me feel "less than." He understood the budget issues. He took great care of me. I left with a bike that would last a little longer in under thirty minutes. When it's time to buy a bike for my son, there will not be a big box store for me, I'm going to Chad at Canyon Bicycles. Thanks for taking great care Chad!”

“The Quest can't be beat for the money. I've only had it one day. I put 20 miles on it and 1 endless smile. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a fun commuter or that n+1 gravel rig. I replace the tires with something more gravel friendly. 38mm tires fit just fine.”

“Bicycle Sam has gone through several owners since the original owner retired. Last month, I discovered the store has a new owner, a young man who is a serious mountain biker. He has put in a lot of effort to clean up the store, including building a dedicated workshop for bike service. I had bad brakes on my bike and they fixed it up and now it runs smooth and quiet. I am so happy to have them in Monrovia. Please check out the store again. You will be pleasantly surprised.”

“I know this company is getting tons of poor reviews but my experience has been good. I purchased around Black Friday (50cc grizzly clone). I received email confirmation a bout 3 or 4 days later. Two boxes arrived about a week later. The assembly is not recommended for non mechanical people. I have plenty of tools and am mechanically minded so I got through it. It looks great and I cannot wait for my son to ride it Christmas morning. It is long from ready on arrival but for the price I’m not complaining.”

“First time coming into the shop. We brought in 4 bikes we have had sitting in the garage for a long time. We weren’t sure how much work was going to be needed on them. We had new grips placed on 1 of our bikes, another had a flat tire and all 4 bikes needed air in the tires. We were assisted by Angie, she was very helpful and honest and didn’t over price us. We were expecting them to try and make us replace a lot of parts on the bikes and buy all new tires but Angie honestly evaluated all 4 bikes and gave us ideas of how long parts will last and if they really need to be replaced at this time. She could of taken advantage of us since we knew nothing about bikes but she didn’t. Prices were great especially considering the great service we received.”

“The only rental store with full protective gear for skating (knee pads are important!) and a progressive rate for 2 hours ($14) while other stores goes from 1 hour rate ($8) straight to 3 hours ($20). They have mostly K2 and were very kind, patient and fair. Great location, just across the parking lot. Highly recommended!”

“I worked with Peter, he was very courteous and professional. My expertise on bikes is non-existent. Once my chain starts making weird noises, I can never fix it. After talking about the different models, I did a demo. The demo ride was the most useful aspect of the experience. The amount of power is very impressive. Overall, a pain-free, low pressure buying experience with very knowledgeable sales staff. A+ and thank you again.”

“This has always been a great bike shop. He modified my racing bike years ago and have him tune it up now and then. I took my grandsons mountain bike in to get new tires a few days ago and Richard came up with great ideas to make things last longer because of where he rides. It was a crazy day when I was in there because there was a very impatient man at the same time but Richard multi tasked. I think the man should have been in an auto parts store because of what he was asking for. Richard kept his cool. My grandsons bike was back to me in 2 days. Very accommodating.”

“Their knowledge of bicycles and a person's needs was astounding. Even more so, was their willingness to share that information. They care about their craft and the work they do, as well as, the people they are doing the work for. Best bike shop experience I've had. Will be a faithful goer hence forth.”
