The owner, Tish, presents you with a kind of magical exposure to the often exciting world of imagery in print to stimulate your imagination. Each book accepted for resale at her store is lovingly cleaned and placed in a manner which leaves one thinking that these books are beckoning you to pick up them up and enrich your life. And I always leave feeling that I must return to find another joy. Seriously, for the most part, just come here for snacks, paperback books, scantrons and school supplies (or clothes, no one's stopping you). Everything else, go anywhere else love, unless you got that scholarship money. :) The staff here are always welcoming. But they won't let you in with your backpack or purse, so, have a quarter to seal your stuff in the lockers outside I guess... 7/10 will probably come back if I feel like it.”

“Definitely one of my favorite comic book stores in LA. The store has always been welcoming, and the owner & other patrons are friendly. In fact they'll often pull you in to one of their rousing discussions on anything from politics to pop culture. The owner does a great job creating real community in an era where too many people prefer virtual/online interactions & in a region where the transience of people combined with the physical distance between spots can make community spirit almost impossible. So kudos to Galaxy of Comics for creating a bright spot in the valley & thanks for sharing your 2 amazing cats with us, their little happy meows make my day!”
