“Well what can I say, not very happy to be here because I got a ticket and need to be here for court, this court is clean and has an electronic log with names making it really easy to find your name up on the board, this court is clean and the service is fast I was in and out in less than an hour, the only issue I had is that my schedule appointment was there for eight o clock and they didn’t start until twenty minutes later but they were quick with the delivery.”

“My (new) husband and I wanted a low key Halloween wedding. We chose this courthouse as Santa Cruz is a beautiful and quirky/fun location. We were not expecting anything special, but were thrilled with everything! Our paperwork was processed quickly, and we were allowed to go into the wedding room to take pictures. The room was specially decorated with skeletons, spiders, halloween candy, cookies, and even sparkling cider for us. Our officiant was amazing, and dressed as Prince Charming. He read special Halloween-themed vows that were absolutely perfect. Every person we met seemed extremely happy to have us, and very excited to celebrate the holiday! I would definitely recommend this location to any other spooky couples (or any couples, really) who want a beautiful, personal, and fun ceremony. Thank you again so much to the staff of the Santa Cruz Courthouse for making our wedding ceremony a memory we will treasure forever. ”

“l was there for 9 months in 1955 when just 24 boys were total "Wards" in the ranch and made history, my brother Nick was there a while before me...becoming the very first brothers to land at James Ranch. ..his number was A-12 or 12th boy in the roster my number was B-11 meaning i had been the one hundred and eleventh boy there. .3 years later i joined the U S. Army retired and served 12 years in the California & Georgia National Guard. ..now at 75 married with 4 grandkids and have my own business with my wife. ...am still very active and going , decorated 6 times in the Vietnam war...where i spent 2 and half tours ,lost my hearing and half my stomach. ..but thank God I'm o.k. and very functional still. I would very much like to visit and give those boys some hope....unfortunately i lost my brother Nick a few years ago to ”
