I make this distinction based upon my mother’s first knee replacement surgery with another highly regarded surgeon who did an excellent knee replacement, but provided abysmal pre and post-op care. Her experience was so negative that she put off her second knee replacement surgery for years. “Some years ago I had Dr. Nambiar remove cataracts. She was friendly, listened to me, and explained the whole procedure. After an examination she explained that she would use a more manual procedure than the popular use of ultrasound (I think that's what they call it) method of removal. That was because my cataract was bigger and hardened. Her method reduced the risk of complications and provided a "cleaner" result and assured the shortest recovery time. She did a great job. I recommend her fully.”

If you need medical attention stay away from the V st. location try your luck with Elica somewhere else.😁 so shortly after posting this review on the last experience I had with Elica Health, Dr. Mai-Wood did reach out to me later the same evening of my visit & was able to provide the information I needed “thank you” also I did receive a call from HR “patient advocate” to follow up about my experience. “Thank you Elica Health for making me feel like you do care about your patients””

Finally no pain. Bonus (if you call it that) the last specialist looked over the CT Scan with contrast and found an arterial aneurism which I hope to have repaired ASAP.
