“It had been maybe 6 or 7 years since we walked at Powell Butte and returned to find it better than we remembered. Meadow grasses had matured and paths we're in great condition. The steeper trails on the forested back corner were appreciated for variety and a decent workout to boot. Really felt like we had left Portland behind for somewhere very different. An added bonus, due to the topography, the summit loop path is shielded from the traffic noise below making this a sound refuge as well. Ahhh...”

“After my Grandson's birthday party Saturday Morning on 1/21/17 a group of parents and children were walking past the fire house and a fire truck parked in the garage with the door open, this was the focal point of these 3 year olds . The fire men were working on the truck my grandson asked one of the firefighter if he could see the fire truck. the group of firefighters showed all the three year old the truck and the equipment to their delight. They received a call toward the end of the tour and made sure everyone was accounted for and guided up to a save place so the fire engine could leave, Thank you for allowing the three 3 year old to view all the equipment and the fire truck it made their day.
