You can buy a factory made piece from Flegel's for 2X the price and you'll get nice pieces that you can find in plenty of other homes. Or you can build one-of-kind pieces of art inspired by anything you've seen or can imagine. Ken made us a beautiful table milled from reclaimed timbers from a 100 year old Redwood bridge piling that washed out in the flood of '98 . Marcus even made us a "magic" pop-up coffee table from some beautiful figured cherry (though it was so hard to balance he swore he'd never build another). If you want a nice but me-too piece of furniture - go to Flegels and get a Stickley reproduction . If you want a one-of-a-kind heirloom quality piece of furniture make the trek to Pescadero!”
