The switchboard person was very helpful, Laura in Planning tried to help and then sent me over to the head of the building department, Jason. He was not only helpful and nice but also very engaging with all relevant information. 5 stars and would give them 10 considering we are in a Covid restriction and most city offices are minimally staffed. “Whoever your expediter and code consultant is right now; do yourself a favor and fire them. Jonathon Lonner is a magnanimous genius, who without asking for much, was able to extricate our company and family from financial jeopardy. Following the advice of our previous code consultant we signed a personally guaranteed lease only to be halted at planning. He immediately swept in and cleaned up the entire process, and put us back on track. Jonathon is also a millennial level emailer. I’ve never sent him an email he didn’t respond to in less than 5 minutes.”

“I had a troubling issue arise today with my property manager and cleaning service. They decided that they would not clean, return all of my linens or return my keys. I didn't want to bother the Sheriff's office but I felt like I had no choice being over 4.5 hours away. I had to scramble to find a new manager, get my cabin cleaned for the guest coming in later that afternoon and to get my property back. I could not have done this with out having keys or lines. Deputy Rick Wroobel responded to my call right away. He got the property manager to return my property and checked to make sure all the keys were returned and the lock box was working properly. I feel so grateful to have such an awesome Sheriff's department be as responsive as they were to a non emergency matter. Deputy Wroobel communicated effectively and was respectful to all parties and got the matter resolved right away. Thank you for all your good work - you make your department shine!!”

“I will say that this location is clean. Its very quiet though. It can use some music at least. The vibe is dead. I mean, just because it's the DPSS don't mean you can have some low music. I know it's about people being able to hear the voice or number over the speaker, but low music won't hurt. Some of the case workers and customer care women I've met are super friendly and helpful. Others I've met were unfriendly. Customer satisfaction is key to successfully feedback. Be happy to be at work everyday, or you're in the wrong profession. I have had very little issues there. Most of the time though, they do resolve my issues.”

“Once again I must say how happy I am with my quality of care I receive from the VA. Last week it was a 35 minute phone appointment with my primary care doctor. Don't laugh but you'll never guess her name. It's Dr. Grant! If I ever forget her name I'm in big trouble. I've been having problems with my hearing aids. I SAID 'TROUBLE WITH MY HEARING AIDS'. Get it! I was in and out in 25 minutes. Back to being fully operational. The best part is that the VA keeps the amount of people in the facility very low. In this case there is safety in low numbers. Not to mention they have installed additional air filtration in the building I visited. My fellow veteran's and I are getting top notch care! Thanks”

“Seems like the other 1 star reviews are either vague or rating a minor aspect of this department. I just went in, said I needed to pull a permit for a project, followed the directions as instructed, paid my fees, and now I'm getting email updates for what I need to do next. Simple and straightforward. The front desk receptionist, payment clerk, info clerk, and building/safety clerk were all kind individuals that answered my questions. I had 4 people in front of me and waited 15 minutes, which is nothing. This was one of the best city permit pulling experiences I've had so far, and I've dealt with 15 different cities so far. If you need something answered, go in person, people are busy, they can't always take your call to answer. The receptionist doesn't know every answer to your question. Don't bother emailing, again, these people are very busy. Always best to go in person.”
