“I'm trying to get ahold of anyone that knew a Detective that retired early 2000 named Norman Adams and see about getting copies of photos of his time with the montebello police department and if possible his associates with him like Joe Herrera that unfortunately past away due to heart attack around that time, all these people in my life I miss even Ron Santos that was a police men at one point...Dad is 79 and was good to the city of Montebello as he did a toy run in his old city bus that was painted white with bandit stripes and had Roger rabbit and Jessica on it every Christmas and his buddies from the montebello police department like Joe Herrera and others always gave back to society and miss them very much. There hangout was always the American Legion where the bus was always parked at in the 90s...dad always had a good friend named Rudy that owned Parkside Motors in Montebello as well as Fred and Bonnie that ran a Semi Mechanic shop all these people gave back to society and were great people and I miss everyone. So I ask whoever read this if you know my father or have pictures of him I would be greatly appreciative.”

I got ceviche tostadas with hot blaring hot sauce which was homemade ! Tostadas were fantastic, yummy & flavorful. My friend ordered 2 fish tacos & Jamaica drink(they charge for refills which is a ripoff). Since they don't have free refills on any drink only water they get only 4 stars.”

“Two days ago I came home from camping wanting a shower, only to find the water service to my house failed at the connection to the main in the street. My daughter had already contacted public works unbeknownst to me and by the time I pulled up in front of my house A City crew had a backhoe, dump truck and a jackhammer on scene with a hole dug in the middle of the street big enough to fit a small car in. The crew was extremely friendly and professional and had me back in operation within a few hours. Unfortunately today at 3:15 PM one of the new fittings at my water meter failed. Within 15 minutes of calling I had the city crew back at the house and they had the problem fixed within an hour and a half. All were “good people” and took care of business expeditiously. “Every year we've had a tree lighting ceremony and Christmas parade and it's a little local low-key for our community and friends. It's beautiful every year, though I'm not sure how our events will take place now with Covid-19 being a factor. Usually the city will provide snow and the kids go bezerk and have snowball fights and it's a blast.”
