“First time stopping by Selland’s Market all Dorado Hills location. Have eaten at the H St location many times are over the years and are big fans of the Broadway location. We used to go to the original Kitchen back in the day on special locations. Today we had just attended the baptism of a friends baby girl and decided to stop for an early dinner. We found a nice table outside in the sun and sampled several items from their diverse menu to include the carrot ginger soup, goat cheese and apple greens salad with chicken, Mac and Cheese, Greek salad with feta, meatloaf sandwich with cheddar cheese, salted caramel cookies and a chocolate chip brownie cookie washed down with cold, crisp pale ale. The Goddess loved her soup and salad. The meatloaf was tasty as ever. My favorite was the incredible salted caramel cookies and the cold beer!”

“This is a satellite outlet for the old time favorite nengmyeon joint on Olympic in Koreatown. Menu is similar to the original place. I think the original place is slightly better than this outlet, mainly due to higher turnover and more service staff. Good point about this outlet is that you don't have to pay tip since you pick up the food at the counter. The beef broth dispensed at the counter is quite good and it is free. Also they have a lunch special menu that also saves you a $1 per dish.”

“Pizza was good and fresh, but it was just after lunch. I usually order my pizza because the hot and ready is sometimes great and sometimes not so great. I was in a rush today and didn't have time to wait for a fresh made pizza and picked up 2 that were ready to go, but since the lunch had just ended the pizza was not sitting to long in the warmer. I really like the crust it reminds me of the way pizza hut used to do their crust, crispy and a lite butter and garlic flavor. The icing on the cake is how inexpensive it is. Best pizza price around.”

“Downtown Sutter creek right on a corner. Parking is either on the street or a parking lot 3 doors down. The building is roomy broken into different rooms, I sat near the back. The server Cayce was super cool, never in need of anything as she came by often to see how you were doing. I ordered the country breakfast with a biscuit and gravy an OJ, coffee and I will say honestly the biscuit and gravy are very good. The breakfast comes with standard fair, 2 eggs, hashbrowns, meat (bacon) and bread - at a little extra you can order a home made English Muffin. Those were good, they are not sourdough. I briefly spoke with the owner Michelle, she gave a bit of history on the building. I will just say it has a bit of colored past, ask her she would be more than happy to show and speak about it. I left there stuffed. Couldn't eat all the food. Thanks for the excellent breakfast.”

The food from Shanghai Town never disappoints and gives me that feeling you get when you’re eating something you grew up with, something from home. It satisfies your belly and your heart. To those whom complain about periodic slow service, I say, “the greatest things come to those who wait”. Get over it. This is the hardest working family in the business, and they turn out fantastic food almost every day of the year. I’ve never once regretted a meal from Shanghai Town, and I’ve been eating there for over ten years and I’ve had them provide food for several of my birthday parties. I can’t imagine not having this incredible place in my life.”

I unfortunately have to take a star down because my friend ordered the banh mi and the Thai iced tea and both were a big miss. Their Banh Mi chicken was dry and inedible, and their Thai iced tea tasted really off and artificial (I had a sip and it really was weird.. had 1000s of Thai iced teas and it’s never tasted like that). I felt really bad that they couldn’t eat and just sat and watched me eat :( I doubt they will be going back but I’d come back for the Pho though!!”

Other patrons appeared happy to be here. I had a shrimp taco (pictured below), it had huge chunks of shrimp in a decent size tortilla. It was fresh and surprisingly good. I also had a Carne asada burrito (forgot to snap a picture). The steak was flavored very well, each bite or steak was well seasoned. Word or warning, this burrito is NOT tiny. Their wings are also yummy...tasty little breaded bites or chicken with a kick. We will be coming back.👍”
