“This review is based on one experience and one meal, so take it as you will. First off, the manager and staff were so nice I felt like I was back home in the south. Secondly, the brisket sandwich was great. The lean brisket was nice and tender. The buns could be a little more toasted for a good element of crunch, but they were still tasty. The original sauce was alright. I’ve had better, but not in california. The classic jalapeño sauce was so good I bought a bottle (which they keep out and handy for purchase). I got the cornbread. Not bad. I also got onion rings, and some of them were a little under fried however they were still very tasty. They have a great batter. Overall it was a pleasant experience as a solo diner and a delicious meal. Great place to eat solo or with your family. Decent options for draft beers. Do yourself a favor and get the jalapeño sauce.”
