A week ago we ordered takeout and it wasn't to our satisfaction. I called and talked to the assistant manager, Tita, and was so impressed at how she handled the situation. She asked us to comeback and she would personally remake our food. Omg, how often does this happen. When we went back Tita not only replaced our food etc she also sat down with us. She wanted us to know that her customers are important and are like family. The manager. Rosy, also talked with us and reiterated that they strive for excellence at this location. “Put in a phone order for two 18" pies, Cheese and Margarita, as well as 4 garlic knots. Told me about 20min, and they had it ready in 15min. Pizza is NY style, thin crust. Tastes exactly like pizza from the your favorite corner pizzeria in the big apple. Definitely satisfied a craving, and we'll be back for more. They even sell pizza by the slice if you don't want a whole pie. Great service at reasonable prices, with even better food. Highly recommend you check it out. “Good pizza! We got a medium with half Original Pastrami and half The Alfredo. Both were delicious. The crust had a nice snappy crunch to it. Medium is a good size for 2 hungry people i’d say. Not the best pizza in the world but one of the best in Downey for sure. We went a Monday evening (right before closing) and there wasn’t many people, food was quick, and despite it being late in their shifts the staff was still very friendly. Lastly, we got Tiramisu and it wasn’t the best but not terrible, came in a little plastic cup that made it feel store bought (it might not be i’m not sure).”

“This place is great! My family, friends and I have been going here for years. It was one of my dad's favorites and he was somewhat of a food connoisseur from Chicago. You are guaranteed to get full here and the price is right! For any of you unfamiliar with the Mongolian bbq, you pick out and load up the food of your choice (meat, veggies, noodles, etc.) and hand it to the cook who walks continuously around a big circular grill, stir frying your personalized meal. The menu has a choice of a one time stop at the grill or you may choose all-you-can-eat. Both options have choices which include other delights such as; soup, rice, eggrolls, fried shrimp, fried wontons, etc. I am a pretty big eater and I just get the one-stop and load it up good, plus it comes with some of the other items, I mentioned, and I am always full. There is also an abundance of a puffy bread that is very good. If you like Thai iced tea, sweetened thai tea with cream, they also have that but you have to ask for it since it's not on the menu. This is a little hole in the wall on the southeast corner of Corbin and Vanowen. There isn't much parking but if you are going to eat there, you are allowed to move the orange cones to park in one of their spaces. The cones are there to save the parking spaces for the restaurant patrons. Give a try. You won't be disappointed!”
