“Really delicious Cantonese Vietnamese food my food foodie friend took me to for my birthday. If you can communicate it with the server, ask for the fish raw on the side for the fish porridge (our server only spoke Vietnamese and broken English) - that way the fish is as tender as possible when you eat it. Surprisingly, even though they use tilapia or catfish (I'm not sure which), I didn't taste any of that fishy taste I usually hate with bottom feeders. Everything was excellent. Don't forget to get the fried crullers/dough to go with the porridge! See pictures for more mouth watering. Parking lot is large but shared with a lot of other businesses in the plaza, so I had to park somewhat far away.”

“While in Winnetka I looked up restaurants that serve breakfast all day and found this location. Its in same building as bowling alley and we couldn’t hear anything from bowling in the restaurant. I was with my daughter and she had cheeseburger and French Fries. I had Uncle Kenny’s Famous Winnetka Rock and changed biscuit to sourdough toast. I made a sandwich and added side of bacon. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The menu is big and they serve beer and wine. The prices were reasonable. The service was good and friendly.”

Steak appeared to be cooked perfectly, between rare and medium rare, it just wasn't chewable throughout. The chicken fried steak combined with the awesome gravy will leave you wanting more, biscuits are perfect and the gravy absolutely amazing, the flavor is unmatched, and it's thick enough to stand a spoon up in. The sweet potato fries as my potato substitute, we're perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This is one of my absolute favorite places of all time for breakfast and lunch, because of the excellent service and always excellent food... It's just not a steak place for me, keep in mind I was raised vegetarian so I've always had a love-hate relationship with steak, because I didn't grow up chewing on it.”

“Jersey Mikes Subs inside Camp Pendleton Bases is the perfect spot for a quick bite while on base! First and foremost, this establishment has moved from its old location in the base to a new one. Previously, it was located nearby the gas station, now it is located inside the same building as the MCX. With that said, the store is exactly how you would expect. You enter, you order, you see your sub (or food being made), then you leave. Due to COVID, there is not dine-in capabilities but there are plenty of outdoor dining area just outside the MCX. This particular location really gives good portions for your orders. They do not try to shortchange you whenever you order bacon etc. Customer service is also decent, they are busy and they are obviously trying to serve you as fast as they can with a smile but over the service is decent. The prices are what you would normally expect from any other location, though I think since this is on the Camp Pendleton base, there is not tax upon payment. The parking lot is plentiful, even though it shares a parking lot with the MCX and other business nearby, but you will definitely have a parking spot. Overall, this location is pretty good! I am sure to return since it is convenient and delicious. Give it a try!”
