It's a little possessed and squirts water everywhere but it still felt nice and they put bubble bath in. David (therapist) really knows the human body and has a great touch. “Okay so a few weeks ago I went to James Mark Salon to get my dark roots touched up and brighten my balayage. I had one of the girls there take care of my hair and I’m not going to say anything rude on here but I’ll just say the aftermath of my hair was not what I wanted. My hair turned orange because of the process that was used so James took over and helped take that out and just added some lighter blonde in to help. It still wasn’t what I originally came in there to get but it was a lot better, they didn’t charge me and he said next time he would again take care of my hair to get it what I wanted. Today I went in to get what I originally had asked to get and my hair is PERFECT! I’m definitely going to be coming back here again and telling anyone living in the Elk Grove area to go there and to see James!!”

All of the programs were explained to us and all of our questions were answered. The staff was marvelous, especially Gracie, and made us feel very comfortable considering we were there for the first time. I also want to report how good we felt after our 20 minute session of dry heat sauna, considering all of the toxins our bodies are subjected to. “We booked a 60 minutes combination couple massage at 6 PM with 2 female masseuses, Jasmine and Nancy. We got there 20 minutes early but they took us in right away. The couple's room was spacious and clean. The massage bed was heated and the pillows were so comfy!!! The masseuses greeted us when they entered and were both skilled. (Typically only one of us has a great experience while the other is bad or okay.) I actually enjoyed the dry massage more than the oil massage. It was the Thai part where she used her knees to push on certain pressure points. The oil massage used basic technique but it got the job down. They stretch you really well and work on each body part equally. We left very relaxed and feeling rejuvenated. The front desk lady was also very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place ☺️”

“I originally tried Purify out with ClassPass and I M SO happy I did. I have a pretty stressful job and this is honestly one place I’ve found brings me so much peace. It’s really one of the few times during the week where I leave my phones outside of the sauna, am free of media, work, and so on, and am forced by the heat to be calm, breathe and meditate. I never thought I’d find heat to be this soothing but it really has become something that I need at least once a week. The staff are so kind, friendly, helpful and understanding and I absolutely adore this place. If you want to try something new and aren’t sure, I’m telling you it’s worth it. They also have the cryo thing which I’ve used once...it was...well, cold 🥶 lol Heat is more my thing haha OH they have eucalyptus infused moist towels, water and other drinks available as well. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Found the hotel by happenstance - stopped for a lunch at Layla and fell in love with the property. We were staying at another hotel but promptly checked out and checked in at MacArthur Place instead! The property was incredibly beautiful with plenty of winding garden paths between buildings, lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery with swings and fire pits. The room was similarly beautiful and well decorated. Everything in the hotel feels very deliberate and thoughtful, with a perfect mix of luxury and comfort. Service was exceptional. Hands down one of our favorite parts about the visit here, will definitely come back!”
