“Kim is one of the best flight instructors i have flown with. She is top notch, she can teach beginners who are learning to fky and experts who are looking to add on ratings. Look no more for flight instruction in the Socal area. Call her and start learning to fly. The prices are good too.”

“Being a student in the school, this school is of course a private school, funded by the students and the sponsoring churches. there are many aspests of the school that should be changed, but there are also many that are great. the small classes allow students to create lasting friendships, with multiple people, unlike in public schools with only a select few. groups are very close and tightly knitted, but many welcome new kids. the academic programs aren’t on par as public schools, but it provides opportunities for students to shine and readies them for college with hard work. the sports programs are solid, despite the need of coaches. some teachers must be removed in my humble opinion, but a few of the teachers are extremely professional and good with their jobs. however, some teachers are close-minded, and some of the faculty do not allow the students to have as much enjoyment out of older events, due to their opinion of safety issues. this school is for those who are looking for a safe haven, close friendships, and a place to express freely about religion. Lol”

“It has been a few years since Visalia had its own aircraft rental company, and when I found out that Visalia Flyers has opened I was excited! I am in the process of renewing my private pilots license and instrument rating after nearly 10 years, so I needed a basic plane and some good CFII instructors. I have since had the chance to fly with 2/3 of their associated instructors, and each have been very helpful! The instrument-rated Cessna 150 comes at a good price per hour ($110 wet) and the owner, Byron, is really easy to work with. If you’re in the area, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!”

“Edupro is a massive help. The owner, Steve, does a great job at communicating between the parents and students. He will work quickly to solve any issues students might face and aid in enrolling them in classes. They offer courses for SAT and ACT prep that students can begin taking quickly. They have different teachers for different subjects: Caitlyn, the math teacher, is most notable for her small and personal classes where students can ask and quickly receive the help they need. It might also be noted that the place has a nice, calm atmosphere for students to get their work done and focus.”

“I looked all over the country to find the right flight school to take my multi-engine rating. I had recently purchased a DA-62 and wanted to complete my rating quickly, but also get great training. I considered going to a standard ME school that was training in a Seneca or other traditional twin. But the pilot I purchased my Diamond from, an Airbus Captain for Delta Airlines, recommended I get type specific training and focused my efforts on a Diamond specific training center. That was GREAT advice! I called Angel City Flyers with my local flight instructor and drilled their Chief Pilot, Cary Jones, with questions about their ME program and syllabus. He impressed my local CFI/MEI and ultimately I scheduled a week to go work on my ME rating with Cary himself. It was awesome. When I first met Cary, I'd say he seemed quiet and reserved. He had a very natural way of teaching -- mostly asking questions -- prodding to find my weak areas in either systems knowledge, aero dynamics, or when flying. Like most single-engine pilots... I'd never shut down an engine in flight... not a great idea in a SE. So I had some nervous anticipation doing that for the first time in the air. But man, Cary is so sharp in the cockpit. After going through a solid ground briefing, and watching him demonstrate in the air, he made it all look easy... probably too easy of course! Anyhow, I had an amazing experience. Knocked out my ME rating fast... learned a ton in the process. The more I picked Cary's brain about emergency procedures and experiences he's had... the more I grew as a pilot. We also had some fun along the way ;) Oh -- and one final note -- training at LONG BEACH is awesome! Busy airspace that helps build your game as a pilot. Consistent cross-winds on 26L/R to help with your confidence on those... and a coastal practice area. For someone who flies in the mountains all the time -- this was epic!”
