“Great camp. Great teachers. A program that fosters creativity and independence. My child went as an 8 and 9 year old. We signed up for spring break and loved it so much we came back for summer. The kids traveled all around LA, going to the LA River, Downtown LA, the MOCA, the Broad, the Getty, and Dodger Stadium. And the photos my child ended up with were great. We also ended up with some great photos of my child taken by the other campers. The camp not only taught my child about art, it helped them grow as a person. We loved it.”

“I completed the teacher certification program at Vanguard University and was really impressed by the school. They genuinely care about their students and invest in them, much more than at any of the “big name” schools I’ve attended in my academic career. The professors were excellent, and Bill Hughes at the administrative office was and continues to be a big help whenever I need it. The certification program itself was straightforward and provided excellent training for me as a future educator. I continue to refer back the toolkit of techniques and pedagogical skills I acquired at Vanguard. My experience with Vanguard was limited to the teacher certification program, so I can’t speak for the undergraduate or graduate programs they provide, but my guess is that they would likewise be a good experience.”

“Great place to fly out of - my pilot husband got his IFR certification here, and frequently rents planes here for short trips to Sonoma County, Monterey, or even just flights over to Concord!”

“I have met with Maria about NPC and the program I am interested in. She has been nothing but helpful, informative, and kind towards me every time I have visited this school. I am enrolled for the MRI program and can’t wait to start my journey here at NPC college! Also, the other staff are always kind and make you feel welcome when you enter the door.”

“I attended this school. Our class was a small group. But we had fun. I loved our teacher Mrs. Dale. She was strict but, but only because she wants you to pass. Plus you dont really have enough time to really goof around. I still enjoyed the 21 days of class... And passed the CNA (WRITTEN&SKILL TEST).”

“I’m glad i finally decided to get my degree and FPU seemed like the right fit. My initial advisor was very helpful, however changes were made and there was a lot of confusion with little information regarding the next steps with the new one. I had to reach out to financial advisor to ask about what loans I could qualify for or if any aid was available, very confusing for a while.”

“I can’t say enough about how awesome of a flight school Sky Trails is! I have been flying for twenty years and have been to many different flight schools for different ratings/certificates and Sky Trails is my favorite! The instructors and staff are extremely friendly and professional! I recently passed my commercial multi-engine checkride in their Cessna 310, and it was an awesome experience! I recommend that anyone looking to become a professional pilot or just flying for fun give Sky Trails Aviation a try.”

“It's a good community college and is conveniently located for easy access. Although it doesn't offer wider choice of topics, it offers all the required "core" classes that all students need and require. The bottom line is it's cheaper than going to a college like, Notre Dame or Stanford. The cost savings along in the first two years is substantial and in the end, more money for the last two years in a noted school. The campus is clean, parking abundant, and rabbits all over the place..... Good place to learn.”

“I just finished my LVN program in this school and now licensed in two different states. Indeed, nursing school was very challenging. However, the staff and faculty did their best to help it become a little more manageable. The teachers are very well-versed with the topics they teach, and they only not teach you lessons from the books, but also "tips and tricks" you can use in real life settings as well. The DON is really hard-working. She tried to cater everyone's schedule, and was always reaching out to clinical sites to be able to provide us the best clinical experience possible. Mrs. Jackson, is always there, almost 24/7 ready to help you whenever help is needed. Whenever, we do reach out and voice out our concerns, she doesn't take them personally and always sees things in an objective manner, trying to help you get to a solution to whatever it may be, as long as it's within reason. She became a confidant as well. Along the way, mental breakdowns, and feeling very defeated are common things you experience during nursing school, and she became the person you can go to to express these, and reassure you that you should always give yourself some grace. She still is the voice inside my head telling me things I need to do whenever I need things to get done up to now. The clinical instructors, mainly Mr. T and Ms. Patricia are very helpful as well. They made sure we learn the most we can from the clinical sites that were provided for us. They are very articulate, professional and had the best communication skills that made the relationships with the people we work with in our sites be smoother. With that, trust was built, and most of the facilities we go to teach and let us be exposed to most of the patients where we learned more about real-life, on the job instances. Clinical sites were all different, depending on what caters to your schedule, and they make it to a point everyone experience all types of clinical settings you may be getting a job, soon after graduation. It's mostly long term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post acute facilities, but there are also outpatient clinics like Facey Providence and Kaiser Permanente where we experienced being in settings namely Urgent Care, Emergency Care, and specialty offices like internal medicines, Peds and OB. Every time I try to share my stories on how I experienced my clinicals to other people, they are very surprised, telling me that their clinicals from their school was not the same. And, for that I am very thankful. I really appreciate all the pieces of experience this school has given me, and I do recommend this school.”
