“Rossi Aircraft is a full service shop which services jets to cubs. They did the Annual on my Cessna 182 and I explained what my financial restraints were, what I could afford to pay them to do and what I could not afford to pay them to do. As with any annual, they found stuff broken which I hadn't planned on like my nose wheel rim which turns out to cost a silly amount of money, but Rossi tracked down a used rim at a great price. When it came to address my timed out engine, again Rossi Aircraft offered me three price points and walked me through what the differences were (not just the dollar difference, which was considerable). I found the shop to be very well equipped (they did a DYNAMIC balance of my front tire assembly, not the usual static balance), I experienced a much higher level of knowledge and a fantastic flexibility in providing service to a modest budget pilot. I recommend this shop to both the "Please fix it Alberto" customers as well as the "ouch, is there a way to do this cheaper?" pilots. They also have a 24 hour fuel service with OIL available”

“Beautiful campus! Great programs, classes, organic farm and recreation facilities. The computer labs are state of the art with the newest computers available. The master gardener program is amazing! This is the campus to get certification training for automotive and industrial occupations. So much to offer and greatly underutilized by the people who live in Marin. Also, hiking throughout the valley is gorgeous!”

“I did my research with all the schools in the Inland Empire before I chose a school to attend and I’m very glad that I chose this one. They accommodate you and work around your work schedule and the staff is very friendly and patient. The instructors give you good feedback and give good tips to help you improve and learn. I mostly worked with instructors Chris and Charlie and they are both excellent instructors that are very patient and make the experience pleasant. Frank is the director and the one I met when first inquiring. He was very helpful in answering all my questions about the school and showing me around before I decided to sign up. They are professional and very good at what they do. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting an established and well organized school to get their class A.”

“I'm graduating from the G-MATP program next month, and I have such mixed feelings about my experience at Sofia. On the one hand, my program director, professors and classmates absolutely exceeded my expectations. I am working as a Creative & Spiritual Director with a busy clientele. I was able to complete almost three certificates: Creative Expression, Spiritual Psychology and Transpersonal Eco-Psychology. The coursework took up enough bandwidth of my life without overtaking it. Nancy Rowe has truly built an outstanding program with a delicate balance of academic rigor and open-heartedness. I received mentoring, personal attention and flexibility to travel the world as I studied. Some of my classmates and mentors have become family to me. The Transpersonal Psychology program is epic, and WAY more affordable and accessible than the competing programs. That being said--the administration has been a complete customer service nightmare to work with. I compare it to my experiences leaving the United States, and my subsequent relief when I return to the customer service here. I've been to many schools, and I was shocked at the poor customer service upon entering the program. Admissions counselors would blatantly disregard my communications, until I eventually got used to expecting the worst when it came to their administration. Then, TWICE--the financial aid office made epic mistakes with my financial aid that left me in dire economic hardship. One time, I was left stranded in an airport with my seven year old because of their error. They had to have the president help resolve it. The other time, they made a mistake in processing my loans that meant I couldn't take my last needed course to finish my Transpersonal Eco-Psychology certificate that I had already taken three of four credits four. Now, no one will help me apply for graduation. I have called, emailed, complained--nothing. No response. I'm a student that needs small accomodations, and not only did no one help me get accommodation, but I cannot BEG for accommodation when it comes to the non-academic part of that institution. I would advise students considering Sofia to go into the program understanding that they will get what they pay for. I got so fed up with it that I decided on California Institute for Integral Psychology for my PhD instead. You couldn't pay me to continue banging my head against the emotional exhaustion of trusting Sofia with more tens of thousands of dollars. That said, the program was worth it. I WOULD recommend the GMATP program to anyone and everyone. It far outweighs cons of the administration. I do recommend you attend this university--with proper expectations of the administration's capacity to assist you. Perhaps your experience will be different than mine and I am an exception--not the rule.”

“Shiny, comfortable building with two different cafes and well-prepared affordable lunches. The Engineering library is here as well, and it is architecturally quite a stunner, surrounded by slightly exotic landscaping choices. The whole shape and feel of the building is at once high-tech, futuristic, but also welcoming despite the desperate students rushing work inside.”
