  I was lucky enough to get two new boards this year, a Burton Custom X (162W) and a Donek Incline 162 produced to my needs. For the Incline I got it a bit wider, 276mm waist. The Incline is the second Donek in our family, my son got a Flux 158 last year. The build quality of the Donek is excellent, but where it really shines is riding. I am an intermediate rider. That is make good linked turns and I have really good toe side carves but i am still working on making knife edge turns on heel side, sometimes my back foot washes out a bit. I live on the east coast of Canada and our hills are often very icy. The second day I rode the Incline, the slopes were icy and I was on the Incline for half the day. The Incline initiated turns easily and it held an edge easily, so it gave me a lot of confidence. After riding the Incline for the morning I grabbed the Custom X and I did not feel as comfortable on it as compared to the Incline. On the Custom X, I was not as confident since I found it harder to initiate turns and hold an edge on the ice. So after 2 runs I put the Custom X away and grabbed the Incline again. So while both boards are great, I would say the board you want is the one that gives you the best performance/confidence in all conditions for me that is the Donek. Note - I tuned both boards before riding, the edges on both were sharpened with diamond stones upto 800 grit (1 degree base, 2 degree side). So it was apples to apples. I love the Incline, and look forward to riding it in better snow. Thanks to Sean and the Donek team, I also got a custom top sheet and the board looks excellent. I am not saying the Custom X is a bad board (this is my third Custom X) but the Incline just makes me more comfortable on ice, so I can progress in any conditions. I highly recommend Donek, and I will be ordering a Nomad from them next year for trips we are planing to the West Coast. I will post a more detailed review comparing the Flux, Incline and Custom X. Sean you have a customer for life!

  Riding a Donek, compared to mass-production snowboards, is like wearing a tailor-made suit when all you've ever worn are H&M t-shirts.
  The quality of their boards and customer care is excellent and you will realize that their prices are not expensive right after the first two or three turns. I've improved my riding style very much on my Park Twin and I know that the confidence it gives me will allow me to progress even more.
  Finally: I usually never send "Thank you" notes to the producers of the goods I buy, but I made an exception for Sean and the team at Donek to let them see the big smile I always have when I'm on the mountain and how much pleased I am with their board.

  Exceptional service from start to finish and beyond happy with how my snowboard turned out - the level of customisation and service Donek offer is simply unparalleled.
  
  Intially I was worried about buying a high end board without the oppurtunity to demo first ( UK based), this was completely and utterly illeviated after the first run. Best board I've ever ridden, about to upgrade my park board to a Donek and frankly doubt i'll ever ride anything else again. Thank you Sean and the Donek team!

  This is part 1 of my review - I received my new board yesterday, it was ordered over the Christmas and New Year period and needed to be in time for our annual company trip to the French alps. So it arrived ahead of schedule and I’m absolutely delighted with it - the combination of graphics, craftsmanship and finish of the board is stunning!!
  
  I can’t wait to hit the snow with it and will post a more detailed part 2 review after that, but so far the experience of buying, customizing and receiving the board has been fantastic.

  Sean and his team are amazing. They have excellent customer service, and the boards are not even comparable to what is available on the market. When you are ready to take your riding to the next level, order a custom Donek and you will not be disappointed. Donek has almost my entire family riding their boards, and it won't be long before the "almost" is gone from this sentence.
