Very good school. Teachers are amazing. Campus is clean. Cafeteria food is decent. Kids are bratty but that's nothing to leave a bad review over (you all down there)
Amazing school. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the students here, they challenge them in a positive way and are very supportive and community minded. My family went through a challenging situation and the school stepped up in so many ways, including emotional support.
I have two children attending Second Creek Elementary and we really love it. It is a school that focuses on the whole child rather than just seeing children as test scores. Last year they implemented a character development program that recognized students for their outstanding behavior. The PTO is amazing and organizes several fun social activities throughout the year. The teachers are really wonderful and the office staff is the best. I have found both the Principal and Assistant Principal approachable. My children have always felt safe and as far as I am aware, there is very little (maybe no) bullying unlike other nearby schools. I feel lucky to send my children to such a great neighborhood school.
We have been a part of the Second Creek family since 2007 when our oldest daughter started Kindergarten. She thrived throughout her time at Second Creek and I truly believe this is a result of both the administration and staff. She went on to continue to thrive at our local middle school and is not headed into high school excelling in her academics. We still are a part of Second Creek as we now have two sons who will be in 3rd and 1st grades this upcoming year. We continue to be reassured of our lasting positive view of the school and staff by how well they continue to do in school. Second Creek Elementary has continued to be a wonderful place for our whole family.
I have had children at Second Creek for 5 years now (3 children--different teachers, different experiences). It always saddens me to see it rated so poorly. We have had such wonderful, caring teachers and my children have done fabulously academically. I truly think it's what you make of it.
