  I did a service project there, rebuilding the historical sod house, the rangers seemed pretty nice but that might have been because we were doing service. All around a pretty nice establishment. But be aware that it is mostly just yellow grass.

  Several large areas in the conservatory neighborhood equipped with playgrounds and lots of room for ???? sports or good ole fetch with “Fido”

  Gotta love the PCC! One of the only sites dedicated to preserving the heritage,and ecosystems of the Great Plains in Colorado. They have a great visitor's center to learn about the history of the area and the people who have called it home as well as a Sod Village and Tipi Village where you can explore for a small fee. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area or looking to learn more about the Great Plains.

  Great Open Area in Aurora for a walk and to watch wild life - large herd of pronghorn antelope on the Center call the place their home - while there check out the visitor center for information and fact sheets about the various creatures that live in the area - while there you may see a military plane land at Buckley AFB.

  Great place for hiking near E470 and Jewell. If you want to walk with your dog (which isn't allowed inside PCC there is a great unpaved we'll maintained trail just outside the west boundary fence between Jewell and Havana that is great for dogs. You will see prairie dogs and pronghorns.
