I have been going to Carol Richardson's hair salon for over 12 years. While I have lived outside the state since 2012, I always make a point to schedule a hair appointment when I visit. I have been to various hair stylists, but no one compares to Carol. Since Carol is an instructor at The Avalon Institute, I wanted to express how happy I am to know that other future stylist will benefit and be able to learn from her experience and expertise in the cosmetology industry. The approach she takes to ensuring her clients having a great experience with long term results for healthy and stylish hair is phenomenal. I always receive compliments on the health, length, and volume of my hair and I tell them my secret is my hair stylist. Carol provides customized treatment plans for her clients, which has helped me to learn about the best hair care steps and products
to use to keep my hair healthy. Carol's industry knowledge, professionalism, and care for her clients is like no other. When I visit Carol's salon, it feels like home and I know my hair is in good hands. She is truly gifted at what she does and I highly recommend her services and expertise.

I went in for an all over color and was taken care of by Cala. She was amazing, helpful and determined to give me the chocolate 🍫 hair color I was looking for! She brought my hair back to life- keeping it smooth and healthy!

This was my first experience here. I got a perm and a beard trim. The young lady that did me was beautiful and seemed knowledgeable. Obviously the instructor on staff did some coaching. They did a great job the building is kinda old but not the schools fault. I will go back. I'm happy with the outcome. Bought some products too. The first floor so handicap accessible. Nice instructors and students. I will go back.

Janelle is the absolute BEST! I am so grateful for the amazing job she did on my hair. I never really get anything done to my hair and was kind of back and forth & hesitant about what I wanted. Janelle was so so SO patient and kind with me & even though I got nervous I knew I was in great hands. I am so impressed. She was able to give me EXACTLY what I wanted and was somehow able to understand even though I was definitely a bit confusing at times haha! She did my highlights BEAUTIFULLY & gave me perfect layers. I am giddy over how it turned out and I love it so much!! 1000% recommend her and Avalon as a whole for such a wonderful experience. Janelle is a total pro & the most wonderful lady! Every person here was SO sweet & I couldn’t be more happy I decided to come here!! Thank you Janelle — you definitely were right about everything!! I LOVE my hair SO much!!!!!!!

I got my hair shampooed and styled by Torin V in the evening cosmetology class. I highly recommend her. She did such an amazing job. My hair had so much volume, it looked shiny, bouncy and beautiful. Thank you Torin and Ms. Peggy.
