  Great place to have a baby! I witnessed my nephew's birth. The staff was caring, supportive and personable. My sister's needs and desired birth plan always came first. The family waiting room had toys and movies for younger kids, and comfortable places to sit. The rooms felt more like a bedroom than any hospital room could. It was easy to move from the bed to the ball to the tub whenever she needed to. It was great to see steady support rather than the constant visitors of strangers in and out that was my own hospital experience. Of course Swedish is nearby in case something happens where a hospital trip would be necessary. It was amazing to watch the natural process of birth and see how a woman's body can handle it all on her own without the need of excessive drugs or unnecessary procedures. It was wonderful to just trust the human body, human nature, and human spirit,and and everything worked out just wonderfully. When the baby took a little longer than comfortable to take a steady breath, the staff stayed calm and knew exactly how to naturally work his lungs until he breathe normally. Mom and baby recovered healthfully and naturally. It was new for me to watch them be able to go home just four hours after birth, but then how wonderful it was for them to be in the comfort of their own home and share those beginning moments with their family in private. I was pleasantly surprised and inspired by this whole experience at Mountain Midwifery.

  The BEST place in Colorado to give birth period. If you're thinking of going all natural, I say this is the place! The birthing rooms are phenomenal. The midwives are absolutely amazing. I have given birth here to both of my children in the "Caravan" room. They're the reason why I can say the birthing experience doesn't have to be a nightmare. I hear so many horror stories and I honestly could never imagine why anyone would have that here. The birthing tubs are awesome, the staff are all friendly and helpful. Both birthing experiences couldn't have gone any better. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, inviting, and not sterile at all like a hospital. I couldn't imagine giving birth nor getting prenatal care anywhere else. Do yourself and your family a service, experience childbirth as it should be here. You won't regret it, I can promise you that.

  We had a wonderful experience at MMC. From the first appointment, we felt respected and listened to. All of our questions were answered at every visit, and we never felt rushed. The birth prep classes were a great preparation and bonding time for us, and we referred back to what we learned often. The birth experience itself was exactly as I wanted, and exactly how they explained it would happen. Our nurse and midwife were with us from the moment we walked in the door to the time of birth and after. They were calm, supportive and experienced. I never felt scared, rushed or unsure. We will always cherish this experience.

  I'll always be thankful for how well my daughter, husband, and I were treated here. She was my first and they made me feel confident in myself through the whole pregnancy and labor. They're fantastic at including partners in every step and treat babies with lots of love.

  I have gone through prenatal, birthing, and post-natal care with MMC for both of my babies and had very different but equally amazing experiences for both. I was attracted to the caring, informed, and research-driven staff, along with the non-clinical, soothing environment. Their close working relationship with Swedish Hospital cemented the deal, knowing that if anything turned for the worse during labor, emergency facilities are a block away. This is truly a wonderful place to bring your child(ren) into the world. We're so thankful to have found it.
