Mindful Pediatrics

Dr Roy has been an integral and continuous part of my children’s lives from infancy to adolescence. He started as my children’s primary pediatrician and moved into a consultant role when we moved out of state. We have been so grateful for his continued guidance and care. Dr. Roy understands each of my children's unique physiologies, and provides guidance on how to best approach an acute need as well as support their overall health and development. His perspective has been invaluable to us.

My family (two kids now 8 and 11) have been working with Dr Roy for several years. We started seeing him in addition to our regular doctor when our doctor wasn't providing us with the holistic solutions we were looking for. For example, we wanted to get at the root cause of the allergic reaction, not just treat the symptoms of the allergic reaction. Today, both my kiddos have healthy and robust immune systems, largely thanks to Dr Roy. Nothing but great things to say about this practice.

Dr. Roy Steinbock has been our family pediatrician for nearly a decade. I cannot recommend him highly enough for his expertise and his willingness to go the extra mile for his patients. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of medicine and pediatric care and he can recommend additional experts if needed. He has close relationships with many excellent medical professionals in the area if you need specialized care. In addition, Dr. Roy will leave no stone unturned in trying to sort out a vexing problem or issue. And, he will aim to provide you with options that you feel comfortable with as a parent. My favorite Dr. Roy quote is: “never worry alone.” When I have a hunch something isn’t right about something related to the health of one of my kids, I make an appointment to either bring my child in or to discuss the situation with Dr. Roy on the phone and make a game plan. He is available for ongoing follow up and any questions as the situation requires. You never feel alone when Dr. Roy is your doctor. In addition, he has helped us on the phone from vacations and hockey rinks and hospitals with a myriad of sudden onset issues where a second opinion was warranted. With more complex and enduring issues, sometime the medical advice of different experts is competing or confusing. Dr. Roy has helped us navigate a few of these situations with great care. In each situation, we have found the right set of solutions with Dr. Roy’s guidance. Dr. Roy is truly a partner in the care of your children and he cares about your entire family. He will provide you with the best possible medical advice as you raise your children and support you with expertise, compassion and care for routine issues and also when challenging and confounding situations arise. As he shifts his practice to a consultancy model in the near future, we plan to continue to call on him for his wisdom, expertise and compassion for many years!

My boys have been patients of Dr. Roy and his fantastic practice Mindful Pediatrics since both were born, so almost 15 years! We’ve had the best experience during each phase, and I have always known I have someone in my corner to help me navigate the ages and stages proactively. I highly recommend building a relationship with him and his practice if you’re looking for long term health guidance and an ally in raising healthy children.

Dr. Roy and his team have been an absolute treasure for our family. We are beyond grateful for his care for and guidance of our children. We appreciate his intellectual, data-driven approach that is informed by years of clinical experience and utilizes a holistic approach. More times than I care to remember - for issues both minor and life-threatening - Dr. Roy and Ara have been there for us with steady, wise counsel that has helped our children.
