I’ve been with Brett for about 4-5 years, and the whole time he’s been an amazing teacher. I always feel welcome and like I’m learning something at every lesson. A great perk about this place is how he lets you CHOOSE the music you work on. Most places would have a set amount of songs for you to learn, but Brett will teach you anything. I’ve had a great 4 years here, and I highly recommend this place for any new guitarists!

Brett Funk (Funk is his last name) is a MASTER guitar player and an exceptional teacher. I was drawn to Brett by the hundred+ 5-star reviews and am so fortunate to have started lessons with him.

I've been wanting to get in guitar lessons for some time now but had no clue on where to start. Brett messaged me and set up a time for us to call so we can discuss classes and what he offers. The passion in his voice just speaking over the phone with him made me so excited and eager to start learning! I didn't have a guitar and he offered to take me to a guitar shop and help on his own time! As soon as I arrived at his studio I knew I was in the right place. He told me some different options and let me try out an acoustic guitar vs an electric to see what would be best for me. After him explaining in detail the difference and advantages of each one, he took me to a guitar shop where he personally found something both in my budget and that was great quality. He got me a fantastic deal and we didn't go over budget! I was very happy that he listened to my needs and wants while also using his expertise to find what was best. We then went back to his studio where he spent more time telling me about his program, and how to take care of my guitar. I was a bit doubtful learning something new but after this one visit the doubt in my mind is gone. I found that I am in great hands and I can't wait for my first lesson!

Update: I've been now going to Brett since September and I am seriously SO AMAZED of what I can do now. Every lessons is more exciting than the last because of the huge amount of growth I've made in this past few months. Brett has a way of explaining things so well, I never thought I would be able to play guitar but he proved me wrong, very quickly. This is so worth the investment, I have a new love for playing guitar and music in general and I can't wait to see where I am just even in a few more months from now..! If you're looking for someone to teach you, BRETT IS YOUR GUY!!!

I’ve been taking lessons from Brett for about 3 months now and I have enjoyed every single one of them. He makes every lesson extremely enjoyable and I look forward to each and every one. He knows how to use all the technology needed to make the most out of your time and is an expert at what he teaches. Brett is a great guy and and even greater instructor, I would definitely recommend him.

I have been studying guitar for about one year under Brett. He is a brilliant guitar player and equally brilliant instructor. I have mastered almost 20 songs at this point, and what was unexpected but really fun is that Brett will let you decide what songs you would like to learn. Being one of Brett's older students, I prefer 60s, 70s and 80s music and such artists as Bob Seger, the Beatles, the Eagles and some country and western like Brooks and Dunn.
What ever you wish to learn, he will provide for you and then teach you how to quickly and easily master the songs you choose. His video demonstration tapes are very valuable and help you to progress quickly.
I am having a great time and it is never too late to learn to play a musical instrument.
